People complain about having to stop to pick up items, that's how bad it is. Get a set with a few legendaries ASAP and run GR's and Rifts in an endless cycle as fast as possible. D4 is quite clearly not following that path.ĭ3's gameplay is also very different to D1 and D2. It's by no means a failure, but it is/was not the successor to D2 as it took away the "darkness" and grittiness of D2 and D1. It's the latest and newest title and it will incorporate the best of all the previous titles and add more to provide a new, unique, but true-to-diablo experience.ĭ3 was the "black sheep". It's not just the skills, or the skill bar or the visuals and sound or the end-game system(s) or the UI. It's the entire experience that makes a game. If the gameplay is grounded, balanced and rewarding with 6 skills, which you can swap out for any other 6 skills at any time (once you reach max level of course), it will be just fine. It's preferred for probably 90%+ of players. So basically just personal opinion and nitpicking?Ħ-skill bars are very common in ARPG games. There's even a Diablo 5 subreddit with over 500 members all bitching about D4 saying that it's a failure and they are waiting for D5. Also frustrating and annoying but mostly sad! Nobody should use social media and other forms of news/info to form a final opinion on a game, much less bitch about the gameplay and systems of they've not even experienced it for themselves, yet here we are. People need to think before they post but the reality is that probably less than 10% of people do. If they see these narrow-minded views from players that made up their minds about D4 when it was announced and that actively look for reasons not to like it, it will plant a negative seed and a lot of them won't even try the game because of it which is sad. I would generally ignore posts and comments with their view, but the trouble is that plenty of new players that were burned by D.I are keen for D4 and rightfully so. This is not the type of thing you can cover in a blog post. Is it the UI? Not much has been shown, but if you really look, and I mean REALLY look at the later videos that they've released you won't see D3.Įdit: Just wanted to add that "in-depth" looks at things will happen soon by the community during the beta testing. Is it the gameplay? Again, I don't see it. Does D4 even remotely give you that impression? I've put thousands of hours in D3 and I honestly struggle to find anything in quarterly updates that even remotely gives me the impression that D4 is going to be D3 with an open world. Please make a list of the things that gives you this impression?ĭ3 is almost "cartoonish" compared to other Diablo titles especially D4. I see these types of posts very often and I'm surprised every time because I honestly do not understand how someone can watch D4 content, especially videos of game play and then think it's a lot like D3 or worry that it will be like D3. From character builds and skills to lore and theories, we have it all covered. Welcome to the un official Diablo 4 subreddit!
